L. Agazzi

Agazzi's first professional appearance was not one to keep: on 6 February 2023, in a Torneo Apertura fixture against Fénix, Defensor Sporting lost 1–3.

He came to Defensor Sporting in 2018, at 13, after starting out in baby fútbol at Carrasco Polo Club. What followed was the full climb through the academy — Pre-Séptima, Sub-14, Sub-15, Sub-17 — before the promotion in 2022. No fee changed hands; the club simply moved him up.

Listed as a right winger, though some records also place him at right back, Agazzi has since made more than a hundred league appearances for Defensor and scored ten league goals. He has two Copa Uruguay winners' medals, from 2023 and 2024, and is under contract at the club until the end of 2027.

With Uruguay's under-20s he had collected 15 caps by early 2025 and scored once, against Sevilla at the 2024 COTIF Tournament. In March 2025 he was named in a senior Uruguay squad for World Cup qualifiers — his first call-up at that level — but had not yet played for the senior side.

A move to Torino was reported around the same period, with his value put at between €1.5m and €1.8m. Nothing came of it, and Agazzi stayed in Montevideo, where he was born.
