Davizinho

Davizinho started out at Santos as a winger, the kind of player picked for his attacking instincts rather than his defending. Since joining the club's academy in 2024, though, his path has bent in a different direction: at first-team level he now plays right-back, while for the under-20 side he still lines up as a forward — two different jobs for the same teenager, depending on which shirt he is wearing.

He signed his first professional contract in May 2026, and by August the club had already extended it to 2031, a sign of how quickly Santos moved to secure him. His senior debut came on as a substitute against Grêmio, a brief 81-minute introduction to the first team. Most of his football so far has come with the under-20s, where he made 21 appearances in 2026, still nominally an attacker even as his senior role points elsewhere.

That switch from ponta to lateral-direito is the defining thread of his story to date: a converted winger being trusted to defend for Santos while still being deployed as a striker in the youth ranks. It leaves open which position will end up being his long-term home.
