Gabriel Menino

Gabriel Menino's career had a strange shape: the goal that defined him arrived at Palmeiras before most fans knew his name properly. He scored on his Copa Libertadores debut appearance for the goal, netting against Bolívar in September 2020, part of a run that took Palmeiras to the title that year. He went on to lift the Libertadores again in 2021, added two Brazilian championships and a clutch of São Paulo state titles, and left the club with 174 appearances and 11 goals to his name. He was also named Brazilian football's best newcomer for 2020, a nod to how quickly he established himself after coming through Palmeiras' academy.

The Olympic gold medal with Brazil's under-23 side at the Tokyo Games sits alongside that early Libertadores run as the standout moment of his career so far.

The move to Atlético Mineiro at the start of 2025, on a free transfer, did not produce the same volume of end product — a single goal in 33 appearances — though it came with a flourish: his strike against Vasco da Gama in August 2025 arrived inside 37 seconds, the fastest goal of that season. He picked up the Minas Gerais state title with the club and was the top scorer in the 2023 Brazilian Super Cup while still at Palmeiras, netting twice.

Menino is now on loan at Santos, having joined in January 2026. He marked his debut against Guarani and scored his first goal for the club against Chapecoense later that month, with two goals in 17 appearances so far.
