Academica Vitoria U20

When the Pernambuco Football Confederation cut ties with Associação Desportiva Vitória in 2007, the club did not simply fold. It came back the following year under a new name, Associação Acadêmica e Desportiva Vitória das Tabocas, and kept the story of the old one running underneath: on paper the club is dated to 2008, but it still claims the history of the entity founded in 1990.

Tricolor das Tabocas, as it is known locally, plays in red, blue and white. Its ground has changed too. For years the club played at the Carneirão in Vitória de Santo Antão, a 10,000-capacity stadium that fell into disrepair and was taken out of use in 2017; it is now being turned into a park. Matches moved instead to the smaller Arthur Tavares de Melo stadium in nearby Bonito, which holds 4,000.

Promotion came in 2025, when Vitória das Tabocas won the Campeonato Pernambucano Série A2 for the third time, having also taken the title in 2008 and 2013, and went up to the state's top division for 2026. The women's section has been the more consistent side of the club over the past decade, winning the Campeonato Pernambucano Feminino eight times between 2010 and 2019.

None of that carries the weight, locally, of the Clássico Vi-Ver, the derby against Vera Cruz.
