Serrano PE U20

Founded on 1 October 1983, Serrano has spent most of its life in the lower tiers of the Campeonato Pernambucano, the Série A2 and A3, rather than among the state's leading clubs.

Matches against Salgueiro, the other side from Pernambuco's backlands, are billed locally as the Sertão Derby, though the same name gets attached to other interior fixtures in the state, which says something about how few reference points the region's football has to draw on. Home games are played at the Pereirão , a ground whose listed capacity has been given anywhere between 3,000 and 5,000, depending on who is counting.
