Atlante Women

The women's side exists because Atlante bought its way back. To return to Liga MX, the club took over Mazatlán FC's affiliation certificate, and the top division requires a women's team — so one had to be built. It was announced in April 2026 and presented that July.

Much of the squad came with the certificate. When Mazatlán Femenil was dissolved, players including Enya Hernández, Jessica Pérez and Vanessa Sánchez moved across, and around that core Nicolás Morales added Selene Valera from Pachuca and Karen Becerril from Pumas, plus a handful of signings from abroad.

The first match, on 3 August 2026, drew Necaxa — the fixture known as the Clásico Añejo. Atlante won it 1-0.

Where they play is the harder question. There is no stadium. Home matches are held behind closed doors on Cancha 1 of the Centro de Alto Rendimiento at San Miguel Ajusco, in Tlalpan, on the training pitches themselves — no seating, no crowd.

So the team plays in the colours of the men's side, sky blue, white and yellow, under the old nicknames Azulgrana and Las Potras de Hierro, in front of nobody.
