Cruz Azul Women

Since December 2025 Cuernavaca has had a Liga MX Femenil side. The Cement Workers moved into the Estadio Centenario after UNAM declined to renew their lease on the Estadio Olímpico Universitario. The move was announced on 15 December 2025 and framed as a six-month trial, with a review to follow.

Before Cuernavaca the club had been a tenant across Mexico City — the Estadio 10 de Diciembre, the Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes, then the Olímpico Universitario. That last ground gave the team the largest crowd it has drawn: 22,289 for the visit of Pumas on 14 March 2020.

The women's side was set up on 5 December 2016, ahead of the founding of Liga MX Femenil, and it belongs to nobody in particular: Cooperativa La Cruz Azul owns the cement plants, the men's club and this team alike, under the same board. The first competitive match, in May 2017, ended 0-2 against Tijuana. The league debut, away at Toluca, ended 1-2.

Daniela Monroy joined in that first year at 14 and now wears the armband; she was named in the league's team of its opening five seasons. Aerial Chavarín rewrote the club's scoring record with 16 goals in the Clausura 2025 alone.

Raúl Gutiérrez took charge in August 2026, replacing Israel del Real. The Clásico Joven against América remains the fixture that fills a ground, though the sharper memory is the Apertura 2021 quarter-final against Tigres UANL: goalless in the first leg, then 0-4.
