Monterrey Women

Liga MX Femenil was announced on 5 December 2016, and Monterrey's women's side was created the same day to fill a place in it, taking the badge, the striped shirt and the nickname from the men's team already in the city. A call for players went out on 3 January 2017; the side played its first competitive match that May.

Tigres UANL beat Monterrey in the Clausura 2018 final on penalties, in Clausura 2019 over two legs, and again in Guardianes 2020 on penalties — three finals lost to the same neighbours inside three seasons. The Apertura 2019 title, won 2–1 on aggregate against Tigres, came between the second and third of those defeats. In Apertura 2021 the sides drew 2–2 across the tie and Monterrey took the shoot-out 3–1.

Rebeca Bernal was there from the start. She debuted in 2017, captained the side through 280 matches and all four league titles, and left for Washington Spirit of the NWSL in early 2025.

Both titles of 2024 arrived in the same calendar year, Clausura and Apertura, with Jermaine Seoposenwe scoring in the first of the two finals. That season also brought the club's first entry into the CONCACAF W Champions Cup, in 2024–25; it went out at the group stage.

Home is the Estadio BBVA in Guadalupe, capacity 53,500, with the Estadio Tecnológico used occasionally. Lucía García finished the 2025–26 season on 20 goals.
