Puebla Women

Puebla's women spent the 2025-26 season playing home matches away from home. With the pitch at the 51,726-seat Estadio Cuauhtémoc in poor shape ahead of preparations for the 2026 World Cup, several fixtures moved to the club's training base at Alpha 3, even as the Cuauhtémoc stayed the team's official venue on paper.

The side first took the field in Apertura 2018, fielded as Club Puebla's women's section once Liga MX Femenil expanded past its inaugural 2017-18 campaign, a season Puebla sat out entirely. That year, a second club appeared across the city: Lobos BUAP Femenil. It lasted until 2019, when the franchise was sold and relocated to become FC Juárez Femenil.

Little has separated the seasons since. The furthest La Franja have gone is a Liguilla quarter-final in Clausura 2019, with no Liga MX Femenil, Copa MX Femenil or Campeón de Campeonas title to follow it — 2024-25 finished outside the play-off places again. The crest is lifted straight from the men's side, and the white shirt with its blue franja gives the team its name.

What passes for a rivalry dates to that first season, when two clubs shared a city for a single year before one of them left it for good.
