Pachuca Women

Pachuca line up in Liga MX Femenil off the back of the first league title in the club's history, won in the Clausura 2025 final against América, 3-2 on aggregate after a 3-0 first leg and a 0-2 defeat in the return. The same year they added the Campeón de Campeones, beating Monterrey 1-0, and reached the semi-final stage of the CONCACAF W Champions Cup.

The women's side was set up on 14 January 2017 as part of the Pachuca club structure, one of eighteen teams brought into the newly created Liga MX Femenil. It did not take long to find its feet: the first competitive match, on 3 May 2017 in the Copa MX Femenil, led to a 9-1 rout of Tijuana in the final, making Pachuca the first champions of that competition. In the league itself the debut season took them straight to the Apertura 2017 final, where Guadalajara beat them home and away. Two more final defeats followed, to Guadalajara again in Clausura 2022 and to Monterrey on penalties in Clausura 2024, before the breakthrough finally came.

Karla Nieto was there for all of it. One of the founding players of the 2017 squad, she captained the side through three losing finals before lifting the league title in 2025. Mónica Ocampo, brought in among the club's first marquee signings that same year, won both the 2017 Copa MX and the 2025 championship wearing the armband. Charlyn Corral arrived later, for the 2024-2025 campaign, and became the first player in the club's history to be crowned Mexican champion with Pachuca.

Home games are played at the Estadio Hidalgo, known locally as the Nuevo Hidalgo, which holds 25,922 and is shared with the men's team. The rivalry that matters most in Pachuca is the Clásico Hidalguense, against Cruz Azul, a fixture rooted in the two clubs' long fight for the loyalty of Hidalgo state after Cruz Azul was founded in the town of Tula. Toluca press them just as hard given the neighbouring states, while América and Monterrey remain the sides Pachuca measure themselves against on the biggest occasions.
