The Estádio Municipal Pedro Marin Berbel sits in Birigui, in the interior of São Paulo state, holding 8,240 people under its official capacity — known locally simply as Pedrão. It is the ground Bandeirante Esporte Clube has called home since long before most of its honours arrived.

Bandeirante grew out of Birigui itself, a name the club carries through its nickname, Leão da Noroeste — the Lion of the Northwest. It was founded on 11 March 1923, and its shirt has kept the same idea since: white with thin black stripes, a red collar and cuffs, black shorts and socks.

The clearest mark the club has left on the state championship came in 1986, when Bandeirante won the Campeonato Paulista Série A2, the second tier, and used that title to earn a season in the top flight the following year. Fifteen years later, in 2001, the club went further outside the league pyramid, winning the first edition of the Copa Paulista by beating União Barbarense in the final. There is an earlier title too, from 1963, when the club topped what was then the third division.

Bandeirante reached the Série A2 final again in 2020, nearly a century after its founding, but lost to São José.
