Concón National

The year Concón National have to point to is 2001, when the club took the Tercera División B title. That fourth-tier win didn't lead anywhere quickly — the club spent long stretches in amateur regional football and only reached the Tercera División on a permanent basis from 1982.

The promotion that mattered more came later. In 2023, Concón National won the second division and stepped up into the Segunda División Profesional. Founded on 8 May 1914, Los Aurinegros — a nickname that comes straight from the black-and-yellow stripes fixed at the club's founding meeting — had waited more than a century for a place among Chile's professional ranks.

A ninth-place finish in the debut professional season of 2024 was followed by sixth in 2025, a step forward against clubs with longer histories at that level. The 2024 Copa Chile brought a run to the round of 32, ended by Santiago Wanderers, who won 5-3.

Home games are played at the Estadio Atlético Municipal de Concón, a ground that holds 3,000 people — modest even by Segunda División standards, and a reminder of how far the club's ambitions still outrun its infrastructure. A second professional trophy, something beyond that one Tercera División B campaign in 2001, is the thing Concón National still haven't found.
