«El Linqueño»
Club Atlético El Linqueño was formally constituted on 6 June 1915 in this Buenos Aires province town, and for most of its history the football side has measured itself against the same team every season — Rivadavia, whose meetings with El Linqueño are still known locally as the Superclásico of Lincoln.
Locally, El Linqueño's record is hard to match: more than thirty titles in Lincoln's amateur football league stretching back to 1938, with wins piling up through the 2010s and into 2023. The club has also reached beyond the town. It won the Torneo Argentino C in 2014, and in the 2022–23 season took the Torneo Regional Federal Amateur, a result that sent it up into the Torneo Federal A. The basketball section built an honours board of its own, including the Buenos Aires provincial title in 1994 and championships with the Asociación Juninense de Básquet in 2015 and 2019.
Home games are played in white shirts trimmed with blue, the colours the club wears in every kit but the all-blue change strip, at the Estadio Leonardo Costa — a ground named for the man who once led El Linqueño as its president.
