Gremio U17

Grêmio came first, in 1903, and its youth structure — the Base Gremista — now works out of CT Presidente Luiz Carvalho on the city's edge, feeding players upwards through the age groups.

The under-17 side belongs to that pipeline rather than to any founding date of its own. Brazilian age categories tend to appear inside federation programmes, quietly, and the U17s inherited the senior club's blue, black and white.

Home, on paper, is the Arena do Grêmio , though 55,662 seats are rarely the point for a youth fixture; the team also plays at Estádio Homero Soldatelli and Estádio 19 de Outubro, smaller grounds where the age group does most of its actual work.

National honours have stayed just out of reach. The U17s reached the final of the Campeonato Brasileiro Sub-17 in 2012, again in 2022 and once more in 2025. The Copa do Brasil Sub-17 ended the same way in 2014.

What the group does have is the Campeonato Gaúcho Sub-17 of 2023. That title matters locally in a way the state championship's reputation elsewhere in Brazil does not quite explain.
