It came out of a rice mill. G&B Molinos, a milling company trading since 2000, had been backing another local side before deciding in November 2015 to start its own in José Leonardo Ortiz, the district of Chiclayo known as Moshoqueque.

That result put the mill's team in the top division for 2019. The club also stopped paying wages, and the penalty for that — five points deducted — sat on top of last place in the table. Relegation was confirmed on 1 November, after a 0-3 defeat to Cantolao and a Sport Boys win the same day.

Home matches are played at the Estadio César Flores Marigorda in Lambayeque, rebuilt in 2015.

The club plays in light green and white, black on the road, and is called the Piratas del Norte. Since the drop it has been a second-division side.
