Pitbulls Santa Barbara FC

In April 2024 the project turned into something else. Sánchez Ovares and his brothers Jeremy and Jeffry, together with their mother Patricia Ovares, bought the Central Valley F.C. The club was registered on 16 April 2024 as Pitbulls Santa Bárbara.

Pitbulls reached the Clausura 2025 final, drew 3-3 with San Miguel and won the shootout 2-1, then met A.D. Rosario in the Grand Final. Two legs produced a 1-0 and a 1-1, sending that tie to penalties too; Mauricio Anchía saved in goal, and Alejandro Amaral, who had scored the decisive goal against San Miguel, converted the kick that settled it 4-3. The win carried the club, captained by Bismarck Acosta, straight into the Segunda División.

They opened there on 18 August 2025 with a 2-0 win over Aserrí F.C., the first goal scored by the Argentine forward Jonathan Hansen.

Home matches are played at Estadio Carlos Alvarado, which holds 4,000, with the Cibeles sports complex in Santa Bárbara serving as the club's training base.
