Sejong SA

Kim Jong-pil was born in 1955 and played as a defender for Korea Development Bank FC and Saehan Motors, later Daewoo. As a manager he worked at Chungju Hummel and FC Anyang.

Park Hyun-chan was appointed head coach in January 2025, weeks before the first fixture. Among the first signings was Yoon Yong-ho , a midfielder who had already played for Suwon Samsung Bluewings, Daejeon Citizen, Jeonnam Dragons, Seongnam FC and Incheon United. He came to complete his mandatory social service, as did Jang Sung-jae, a fellow midfielder.

The league debut, on 22 February 2025, was a 2–1 defeat away to Namyangju Citizen. The first win took until the tenth match, against Geoje Citizen.

The Korea Cup went better. Sejong SA beat Ulsan Citizen of the K3 League 3–0, then knocked out Jeonnam Dragons of the K League 2 by 3–1. The run ended in the third round against FC Anyang, a club Kim Jong-pil had once managed.

The club should not be confused with Sejong Citizen FC, a separate side that played in the K3 League. Sejong SA is based at the Sejong Civic Stadium in Jochiwon-eup, and its supporters' group is called Chungnyeongdan. It has no honours yet and plays in the K4 League.
