Fabian Barbiero was 17 or thereabouts when he played his 13 games for the Panthers in 2002. He left for a career that took him to Adelaide United and the Australia squad.

That founding purpose kept showing up. Stephen Hoyle turned out 25 times in 2014, scored three.

The exception came in 2017, when the Panthers won State League 1.

Home is the O'Sullivan Beach Sports Complex, 3,000 capacity, known around the southern suburbs as Panther Park. Before that the club played at The Cove.
