Team Rhino

Team Rhino's regular league fixture against Brikama United carries the closest thing Gambian aggregators mark as a derby, though no source records how the rivalry started or what it's called. The two sides simply meet often enough in the GFA League First Division that the label has stuck on results pages, if nowhere official.

The club plays out of Manjai Kunda, a suburb of Serrekunda, and its home matches in recent seasons have been staged at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium, a ground listed with room for 5,000. Locally the team is known as the Rhino Boys.

Founded in 2012, Team Rhino did not reach the First Division until the 2021/2022 season, when Yunusa Badjie — known around the club as "Carrick" — took charge of a side making its top-flight debut. That first campaign ended in relegation, in 14th place. The club returned to the First Division for 2023/24 and stayed up, at one point sitting second in the table after 18 rounds of that season. It has yet to win the Gambian league or cup.

Among the players named in coverage of the club, goalkeeper Ousman Jack has drawn attention for his performance in an Afriskaut Gambia Youth Cup final, and forward Ousainou Jaguraga has featured in match reports alongside him.

No official club website or verified social media presence has turned up, and the badge in circulation — a white rhino on dark blue — is not confirmed as tied to any official kit colours. What is on record is the beginning: a founding in 2012 that, nine years later, produced a first season in Gambian football's top division.
