Tupy have twice reached a Goiás state third-division final. In 2024 they went two legs with Rio Verde, 2-2 and then 1-1. Eighteen years earlier the same stage had ended with a 0-3 defeat to Itauçuense in 2006.
Neither run carried Tupy any further. The club has never won the Goiás state championship at either the top level or in the second division. In 2025 the side played in the Divisão de Acesso, the state's second tier.
The mascot is a figure known simply as Índio.
Matches are played at the Estádio Geraldo Rodrigues, known locally as Geraldão, which holds 3,000. Tupy were founded in Jussara on 20 November 1963.
