Grêmio Anápolis

Bureaucracy shaped this club before results did. When it organised as a clube-empresa under Brazil's Pelé Law, it relocated to Anápolis, in Goiás, on 4 September 2005, taking the city's name in exchange for its economic weight and the backing of local authorities.

The business model runs on outbound transfers. Executive director Marco Aurélio Martins has said openly that the club's purpose is to find and sell players. José Wilton Silva went out on loan to Paços de Ferreira for three seasons; Tindurim signed in 2015 having already passed through Santos and Palmeiras. Edson Silva coached the side through the seasons that brought its only senior state title: the 2021 Campeonato Goiano, decided on penalties against Vila Nova. Two lower-tier titles came earlier — the 3rd division in 2011, unbeaten, and the 2nd division in 2017.

Home games are played at the Estádio Municipal Jonas Duarte, its capacity given anywhere from 17,170 to 20,000 depending on configuration. The team wears a white shirt crossed by four vertical light blue stripes, with white shorts and socks.
