Yanapuma Women

Club Deportivo Yanapuma was registered on 14 April 2024, and reach the top flight of Peruvian women's football.

Promotion arrived in 2025, when Yanapuma won the Liga de Ascenso Femenina, the country's second division, known locally as Macho Salazar.

That fixture came in 2026, with the Liga Femenina FPF debut played out at the Estadio Max Augustín, a 24,576-capacity ground in Iquitos. The Apertura campaign carried Yanapuma into the quarter-finals of the play-offs, where the run ended on 21 June against the reigning champions, Alianza Lima, beaten 4-1. Daniela Carrillo had scored from the penalty spot in that match, one of the few players to trouble a side that has since gone on to defend its title. Further back in the campaign, forward Mayka Boulangger, once called up to Peru's youth side, scored twice in a 6-0 win over Manucci.

A club not yet two years old, built in a city better known for its river trade than its football, had gone from registration papers in the Belén district to a quarter-final against the champions of Peru.
