Nashville Predators — Minnesota Wild: 1:3, NHL

Nashville Predators hosted Minnesota Wild in the NHL on 2 October 2026. The visitors took all three points with a 3:1 win. It was the first meeting of the season, with both teams entering the match with zero games played and zero points recorded.

To be fair, the Predators looked disjointed. They had suffered a 6:0 hammering by Carolina just days before.

And here's the thing. The scoreline reflects a clinical performance from Minnesota. They scored three goals against one for Nashville. The hosts pushed forward, but the visitors were sharper. «One mistake ends it», and the Predators made too many of them.

By then, the game was decided. The table lists Nashville in 10th and Minnesota in 9th, but both have zero points.

The season opener is complete. Nashville have a point to prove after the heavy losses.
