Vilius Armalas made his first-team debut for FC Hegelmann in 2021.

Hegelmann II, known locally as Hegelmann B, plays out of Raudondvaris, a town in Kaunas district, sharing the crest and the blue-and-white colours of the senior club, which was itself founded in 2009 and now competes in the A Lyga.

Promotion came the unglamorous way. In 2023 Hegelmann II finished third in the II lyga, then moved up to the I lyga only after other clubs withdrew rather than through automatic qualification. The step up showed in the table: a 12th-place finish in the 2024 I lyga season.

Home matches are played at the Raudondvario stadionas, which holds 1,550, though the club has also used the LFF training centre in Kaunas for some fixtures. The closest thing to a rivalry is local rather than historic — meetings with FK Kauno Žalgiris II are referred to as the Kaunas derby.

Lukas Jonaitis remains part of that squad in the I lyga.
