Alcobendas — Complutense Cisneros: 29:19, División de Honor

Alcóbenzas opened their División de Honor season with a 29:19 win over Complutense Cisneros on Saturday. The home side took all three points at the first attempt, while the visitors began their campaign with a defeat.

Alcóbenzas now sit in third place with four points from one match. Complutense Cisneros occupy seventh position with zero points after their opening loss.

Recent form suggests Alcóbenzas can raise the tempo when they need to, having beaten La Vila 31:5 in their previous outing. Complutense Cisneros, by contrast, saw it out against Liseo Francés with a 16:32 loss last time out.

The result handed the hosts a clean start to the season. The away end will be looking to regroup and pay for a sloppy opening performance.

With both teams having played only one match, the table tells a limited story. Alcóbenzas have one foot in building momentum, while Complutense Cisneros will make life awkward for themselves if they do not respond quickly.
