After the earthquake that struck the region in February 2023, the capacity was cut to 2,787. By August 2026, all four stands had reopened and the venue was back to its full 21,374 seats.

The club's name has shifted almost as often as its stands.

Its path up the pyramid reads like a staircase rather than a single leap: the 3. Lig title in 2015-16, a playoff win that lifted it out of the 2. Lig a year later, another playoff triumph into the 1. The climb was completed in 2025-26, when Erzurumspor FK finished top of the 1. Lig.
