Pan-American Cup U23 2026/27

The Pan-American U23 Volleyball Cup is a biennial continental tournament for national teams under the age of 23. Founded in 2012, the competition is organized by the Pan-American Volleyball Union, a joint body comprising NORCECA and CSV. The event serves as a championship for the U23 age group in the Americas. The format typically involves eight national teams divided into two groups of four. Teams play a round-robin group stage followed by knockout quarterfinals and semifinals. Participation is by invitation, generally including top teams from NORCECA and CSV, plus the host nation. There is no formal promotion or relegation system; instead, performance determines qualification for other international events. The Dominican Republic is the most successful team in the women's category, having won the title in 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2021, and 2023. In the men's category, Cuba and Mexico are the most successful, with Cuba winning in 2014, 2018, and 2023, and Mexico winning in 2021 and 2024. The Dominican Republic won the 2025 men's title. The competition is distinct from the Senior Pan-American Cup, which qualifies for the Pan American Games and Senior Continental Championship, and the U21/U20 championships, which are FIVB-sanctioned world championship qualifiers. The U23 Cup is unique in bridging the gap between junior and senior levels, focusing on development and continental ranking points for the Junior Pan American Games. Historically, it functioned as a qualifier for the FIVB U23 World Championship, which was discontinued after 2017. The inaugural editions were held for both men and women.
