Home games for Höchst are played at the NMS Höchst, a school sports hall — the address gives the team a fixed identity in Vorarlberg's volleyball scene, where the second-tier Bundesliga and the regional AVL competition are decided on courts like this one, borrowed from the school day.

Records of the club go back to the 2009/2010 season, when it already had a first team competing for regional honours. The precise founding date has not surfaced, but that first documented campaign ended with the Vorarlberger Cup in hand — awarded without a final being played, after the opponent failed to show. It took over a decade for the trophy to return: Höchst won it again in 2022, then held onto it in 2023, the club's first back-to-back Cup title.

The senior side has stayed within Austria's second division and the Cup rather than reaching the top flight, and no run in the national championship is on record. Underneath that, the club has built out a beach volleyball pathway for its younger players, with results at national youth level that the indoor programme has not matched at the senior end of the sport.

Ask around Höchst and the name that comes up is the club's own: blum VBC Höchst, the sponsor-carried identity under which the 2022 and 2023 Cup wins were secured, giving the team a public face distinct from the plain club initials used in league records.
