João Meirelles ran the offense last season and finished it as the best player in the 2. Bundesliga Nord.

The volleyball department only took shape in the early 1970s, grafted onto a gymnastics club that had existed since 1885, and it spent years merging and splitting from a sister club, MTV Kiel, before settling under the name KTV-Adler. Promotion came in 2012, then again in 2018 after topping the Regionalliga Nord, and in 2021 the Eagles pushed all the way to a runners-up finish in the 2. Bundesliga Nord without ever reaching the top flight.

Home games are played at the Hein-Dahlinger-Halle in the Gaarden district. The club counts 520 seats in its own hall.
