Padova Women

Padua's volleyball scene splits three ways, and it is the club still going by Altafratte's old name that plays out at the Palazzetto dello Sport in Trebaseleghe. Nuvolì Altafratte Padova traces back to U.S. Fratte, set up in 1972 in Santa Giustina in Colle before the move into Padua itself; a 2014 merger with Alta Volley gave the club its current shape.

For most of that history it sat below the game's upper tiers. That changed in 2023, when the club won the Serie B1 championship and went up to Serie A2 for the first time.

No national title sits in the club's history yet, and it shares its home city with two other names on the Padua volleyball map, Kioene and Aduna, without sharing a roster or a level with either. What Altafratte has instead is the nickname its supporters use, Le Tigri Gialloblu — the Yellow-Blue Tigers.
