Sparta Grodzisk M.

Before it played a match, Sparta Grodzisk Mazowiecki existed as a school sports club running four disciplines — swimming, karate, roller skating and volleyball among them — a structure set up in 2003 that has never been dissolved or renamed since. The volleyball section grew out of that arrangement rather than standing apart from it, which is why the club still carries the formal Uczniowski Klub Sportowy tag alongside the more familiar Sparta name.

For most of its life the team sat in the lower rungs of Polish volleyball, and its record shows two climbs rather than one long stay at any level. The first came in 2018/2019, when Sparta won the final tournament of the III Liga and moved up to the II Liga. The second followed in 2024/2025 with the II Liga final tournament won outright, sending the club into the 1. Liga, the second tier of the men's game in Poland. Between those two promotions there was cup football too: in 2023/2024 Sparta reached the third round of the Polish Cup before going out to CUK Anioły Toruń.

Games against KPS Siedlce carry more weight than an ordinary fixture, billed locally as the Derby of Mazovia, a reflection of the two clubs' shared corner of the country rather than of comparable size or history. Sparta's own ground, the Hala Widowiskowo-Sportowa CAIIS, holds just over 3,000 spectators, in white and blue.

The captain's armband belongs to Łukasz Kaczorowski, an opposite who arrived at Sparta after spells with Aluron Virtu Warta Zawiercie and Stal AZS Nysa and has since become the player most associated with the club's rise through the divisions.
