Jaworzno sits in the Silesian coalfield. Liga, the second tier of the Polish game.
It was known first as Energetyk Jaworzno, before the rebrand to MCKiS Jaworzno took hold. The club has been promoted out of the third-tier II Liga three times, in the 2004/2005, 2015/2016 and 2017/2018 seasons. Its one outright trophy beyond the league table came in 2018, when it won the Międzynarodowy Turniej Siatkarski Beskidy.
Matches are played at the Hala Widowiskowo-Sportowa MCKiS. The Sokoły, as the side is known, have carried players such as Artur Sługocki and Tomasz Polczyk through those promotion campaigns.
