Polideportivo Mendizorrotza holds 2,603 for basketball. The club came together in May 2010, when the Álava Basketball Federation merged two existing sides, Abaroa and UPV Álava, both already playing in the top national tier, into a single structure under the banner "Tiempo de chicas".

Promotion came in the 2015-16 season, when Araski won the Liga Femenina 2 and moved up into Liga Femenina Endesa, the top flight. In the Copa de la Reina, the national cup, the semi-finals in 2017 and 2020 mark the club's high points, with a quarter-final appearance in 2023.

The green home strip gives the club's supporters' group its name, Marea Verde, while pink runs through the away kit.
