Fryshuset Basket play in Basketettan, the second tier of Swedish women's basketball.

The name is younger than the club. Until 2009 the team played as KFUM Söder, and it was under that name that the women's side won the Swedish championship in 1973 and reached the Swedish Cup final twice, in 1983 and 1985, losing both times to Södertälje BBK. The basketball section itself goes back to 1949, inside the wider KFUM Söders IK sports organisation founded in 1930.

What thinned the club out was 1996, when its elite senior teams merged with Alviks BK and Stockholm Capitals to form 08 Stockholm Human Rights.

The club's basketball pedigree also runs through players who came up in its system before moving on, among them Farhiya Abdi, who started out at KFUM Söder Basket Enskede and was later drafted into the WNBA.

Home games are played at Fryshuset Arenan in red and black, in front of a crowd capped at 3,500.
