Basketettan Norra is where Lidingö Basket's women's side plays now, and the 2024/2025 season brought a fourth-place finish, the club's best league placement in more than ten years.

The club grew out of the first basketball association ever formed on Lidingö, in 1974. Its one league title came in 1997, when the team won Division 1, the tier that later became Basketettan — the club has not reached the Swedish Basketball League or the second-tier Superettan since.

Games are played at Hersbyhallen, inside the Hersby school complex, where the stands hold 150 people. Against Norrort Basket the meetings carry the weight of a local derby; against KFUM Blackeberg Basket the club is up against one of the league's regular front-runners.

Karolina Tellman is remembered on Lidingö for a buzzer-beater in 2023. The club has also sent players further than Hersbyhallen: Joanna Ausmann went from its youth ranks to Northeastern University and then into the Swedish top flight with Visby BBK and Eos Lund IK, wearing the national shirt twelve times along the way.

The team plays in wine red, the colour under which a fourth-place finish still counts as the club's best in more than a decade.
