The same happened in 2001 with '08 Stockholm Human Rights. Both were men's titles. The senior women, who play as KFUM Central Women, have never won a national championship.

The club itself traces its roots to 1952 and marked its 70th anniversary in 2022. Today the women play in Basketettan Women, the third tier of Swedish women's basketball. They share the city with Djurgården IF Basketförening and Hammarby IF Basketförening, and those two are the local rivals.

Home is Gärdeshallen on Valhallavägen, a hall measuring 18 by 36 metres. The next step is already planned. Centralhuset in Hagastaden is meant to hold about 2,400 spectators. The teams wear Central Blå and Central Gul, with white alongside, and the youth sides play as Central Sparks.

Tilja Garb, a guard, developed in Central's junior teams before moving on to Visby Ladies. Ida Johansson and Malin Svensson, both veterans, have stayed with the club.
