Geispolsheim Women

Geispolsheim are heading into 2026-2027 in Ligue Féminine 2 for the first time. The promotion was settled on 3 May 2026, when Les Indomptables beat Trith Basket Porte du Hainaut 71-58 in the National 1 final; they added the Coupe Crédit Mutuel in the same campaign.

It is a step up that took over a decade to arrive. Back in 2014 the club reached the final of the Trophée de France in the amateur bracket and came away beaten, 71-53, by CSP Rezé — the closest it had come to a national title before this year. The gap between that defeat and this year's final says something about how patiently the project was built: through a youth structure, the École de basket, that now carries more than 500 licensed players, and through imports who came in to lead the senior side once its ambitions grew. Julia Duggan arrived in 2018-2019 as the first player at Geispolsheim to turn professional, and Brianna Wilson followed a year later in the same post. More recently the club brought in Merveille Lokoka, a European Under-20 champion, from Lattes Montpellier in 2024.

Games are played at the Centre Sportif on Rue de la Porte Basse, fitted in recent years with electronic scoreboards and LED screens for official fixtures. Colours are dark blue and white, worn now in a league Geispolsheim have never featured in before. What the club has not yet done is prove it belongs there — a first NF1 title earns the ticket, not a guarantee of staying up.
