The Coupe de France féminine de basket-ball, officially known as the Trophée Joë Jaunay, stands as the premier knockout cup competition for women's basketball in France. Organised by the Fédération française de basket-ball (FFBB), the tournament operates independently of the top-tier league, the La Boulangère Wonderligue, yet remains open to all FFBB-registered clubs from the professional flight to amateur regional leagues. The competition follows a format that begins with a regional phase before advancing to a national federal phase. This stage typically comprises a Round of 32, Round of 16, Quarter-finals, and Semi-finals, culminating in a single-match final played at a neutral venue. No promotion or relegation links the cup to the league structure, establishing it as a distinct honour.

Since its inception in 1956, with the inaugural final held in the 1956–1957 season, the trophy has seen significant changes in its administration. In 1996, the competition was renamed the Trophée Joë Jaunay in honour of the former national team coach. The tournament's history includes a notable structural shift in 2005 when it was split into professional and amateur tiers, a configuration that has since evolved. The winner secures direct qualification for the EuroLeague Women, or the EuroCup Women if the spot is reallocated.

Tango Bourges Basket holds the record for the most titles with 12 victories. Recent dominance has been shown by Basket Landes, who secured three consecutive editions between 2021 and 2023. The competition currently features participation from clubs such as USBD Alencon Women, Champagne Women, Le Havre Women, La Roche Women, Aulnoye AS Women, and Centre Federal BB Women. These teams compete for the prestigious national cup title without the pressure of league standings.
