Tronche Meylan Women

No fixture on Tronche Meylan's calendar carries the weight of the trip to Voiron. Pays Voironnais sits a short drive away on the other side of Grenoble, and the meetings between the two are known simply as the derby isérois.

BCTM did not start life under that name. The club began in 1944 as Amicale laïque tronchoise, became Basket Club La Tronche in the 1950s, and only picked up its current identity in the 2000s, once a partnership with the City of Meylan brought money for youth basketball and the ambition to climb back up the divisions.

The results followed slowly. A first French Cup arrived in 2018, beating AS Aulnoye Basketball 64–56, and the Nationale 1 title came the following season. A defeat in the 2022 Ligue 2 Féminine playoffs, lost to Toulouse Métropole Basket, delayed the next step, but the club kept knocking on the door.

Camille Droguet is the name attached to that rise. She came through the club while studying engineering, wore the BCTM shirt through its lower-division years, and went on to captain France's under-23 3x3 national team.
