Stéphane Leite took over the bench at Charnay in 2022-23, and that first season ended with the Ligue Féminine 2 title and promotion to the top flight. Two years later his side finished third in the regular season of the Ligue Féminine, with 15 wins and 7 losses.

The quarter-final against Basket Lattes Montpellier came to a head in the return leg. Charnay had lost the first leg 77-62 and clawed their way back to go through. Basket Landes then knocked them out of the semi-final 138-129 on aggregate. That same season brought their first appearance in the EuroCup Women, and in 2025-26 they reached the Round of 32.

Charnay's squads are built with established Ligue Féminine players and internationals, not with graduates of a youth academy. The Les Pinkies, in pink and black, come from a village-sized beginning. In 1957 a group of young people started playing on a dirt court near the church of Charnay-lès-Mâcon, with Father Fonfroide, Henri Joly and Henri Cogne behind them. In 1969 they became Jeunes de Charnay et Mâcon, a change that gave them access to halls in Mâcon. The men's section was dissolved in 2015, and the club has been women-only since.

Jean-François Jaillet was president for many years. In September 2023 Nicolas Freycon succeeded him, and Jaillet remains closely involved. That season some home games were played in Prissé while the hall in Charnay was renovated. In September 2025 the building, long known as Le Cosec, was renamed the Complexe Sportif Maurice-Chevalier. It seats 1,200.

Leite is still in charge.
