Pécs has been telling two versions of its 2025-26 cup run: local reports credit NKA Universitas Pécs with the title, while the federation's own listing has the club taking bronze in the women's competition. What is not in dispute is the run to the final a year earlier, when the club, playing as PEAC-Pécs, beat its way to the 2014 Hungarian Cup, and the silver medal collected in the 2025 league final behind Sopron. None of it carries the weight of the eleven championships won under the city's name in the previous decade, but that record belongs to a different club altogether.

The distinction matters in Pécs more than most places, because the city has fielded three separate women's sides under overlapping identities. NKA Universitas Pécs, re-established in 2012/13, is the successor standing today, and its own honours list starts from that re-founding rather than borrowing the older club's trophy cabinet.

The current squad trains and plays out of the NKA Aréna on Megyeri út, a 1,350-seat ground built for the national basketball academy that gives the club its initials, with Kinga Josepovits and Alíz Varga among the names carrying the team through recent seasons.
