Turgutlu Women

Twice, a year apart, Turgutlu Belediyespor won the play-off final of the Türkiye Kadınlar Basketbol Ligi, and both times the same opponent stood in the way. In 2023-2024 the club beat Kırklareli Belediyesi Kırklareli Fen Bilimleri 3-2, closing out the series 60-50, to reach the Kadınlar Basketbol Süper Ligi for the first time. The following season they lost the final to Çanakkale Belediyespor, but in 2025-2026 they met Kırklareli again in the decisive round and won it the same way, 3-2, the final match again finishing 60-50. In between, the team reached the final of the Basketball Federation Cup in 2025, losing to Edremit Belediyesi Gürespor.

The club exists because Çetin Akın, elected mayor of Turgutlu, set up a municipal women's team after taking office; it played its first official match in November 2019, in the regional league, against Albedo Basketbol. From there it climbed one tier at a time, reaching the play-offs already in its third season. No other women's basketball side from Manisa Province competes at this level, so there is no local rival to measure the club against, only the ceiling of the league itself.

American forward Lauren-Jenee Nneka Ebo has carried the scoring and rebounding load in the recent finals, while Yağmur Öztürk, the captain, has been on the roster since the club's early regional-league days and came up through its own academy. The team plays at the Yıldırım Beyazıt Sports Hall. Red and black are the colours associated with a team fans call, simply, the sole women's basketball side representing Manisa.
