Levice — MBK Handlova: 91:75, Extraliga

Levické saw off MGBK Handlová 91-75 in the Extraliga on Friday evening, a result that keeps them firmly at the summit of the table. The home side controlled proceedings from the opening tip, and by then the gap was clear enough to need no further explanation.

They punished their opponents from beyond the arc, draining eleven 3-pointers against twelve from the visitors. The away end never stopped, but Levické changed shape at the break and extended their unbeaten run to eight league games overall.

And here's the thing — we had called this one at 70 per cent confidence before kickoff. To be fair, the home side's defensive rebounding and turnover margin told the real story, and Handlová simply couldn't match the tempo when it mattered.

The statistics paint a straightforward picture. Levické out-rebounded their visitors 39-32, committed just nine turnovers to fourteen, and shot 35 from 70 on field goals. Handlová managed 29 from 68, with twelve from distance but only five successful free throws to add pressure.

That kind of efficiency keeps the leaders in their lane. Levické sit on thirty wins from thirty-six league matches, while Handlová's twelve victories leave them in ninth place with twenty-four defeats to show for their campaign so far.

The scoreline says it all — a comfortable victory for the side that can raise the tempo when they need to. Handlová saw it out, but the result confirms what the table already suggested about the gap between them.
