Ceilandense U20

Ceilandense went up to the elite division of Brasília football in 2023 by beating Planaltina 2–0 in the Campeonato Brasiliense Segunda Divisão. The win earned a place in the top flight for 2024. It was the second time the club had taken the second-division title. The first came in 2009, against Botafogo-DF.

The team comes from Ceilândia, an administrative region of the Federal District. It began in 1977 as Sociedade Esportiva e Recreativa L Norte and took the name Sociedade Esportiva Ceilandense in 1994, when it turned professional. Its identity then changed more than once. In 2010 it partnered with Atlético Goianiense and became Sociedade Atlético Ceilandense, adopting red and black. Around 2013–14 it went back to its original name and colours, although the red and black kit still turns up in recent seasons. The mascot is a dragon, the Dragão , and home games are played at the Estádio Maria de Lurdes Abadia, which locals call the Abadião.

Its neighbours in the local game are Ceilândia Esporte Clube, Gama and Brasiliense. Fixtures against them are sometimes described as the Clássico Candango, though no derby name has been formally settled. The under-20 side plays in the Campeonato Brasiliense U20.

The 2009 promotion side is remembered mostly for one forward. Edicarlos finished as its top scorer with 7 goals in the run that ended with the final against Botafogo-DF.
