Grêmio Valparaiso U20

In 2022, after several years without playing an official match, Grêmio Esportivo Valparaíso came back to competition and finished third in the Federal District's Segunda Divisão. It remains the best result the senior team has recorded in that division.

The club, known as GREVAL, is from Valparaíso de Goiás, a city in the state of Goiás, yet it plays in the Federal District's Campeonato Brasiliense. Its colours are blue, yellow and white, and the mascot is a canary. It has no fixed ground. In 2024/2025 it mostly used the Estádio Luiz Alfredo in neighbouring Novo Gama, and it has also borrowed the Serejão in Taguatinga and the Estádio Zequinha Roriz in Luziânia.

GREVAL was founded in 1992 by sub-lieutenants and sergeants of the Military Police, and that origin has shaped its rivalries. Clube Recreativo, from Samambaia, has the same background, and the two treat each other as natural opponents.

The youth teams have won more than the seniors. The under-20s twice took the Copa Brasília Sub-20, and the club has been a two-time champion of the Copa Satélite Sub-18. It also won the Copa Nacional de Urucuia Sub-19.

The best-known player to come out of that system is Perivaldo, a centre-back who emerged at GREVAL around 2001–2002. He was in the Gama side that won the 2003 title. At Luziânia he became an idol and won the championship in 2014 and 2016. He also played for Brasiliense, Ceilândia and Legião, always in the Federal District's leagues.

The senior team has never won the top-flight Campeonato Brasiliense and has never been promoted to it.
