«La Verde Amarela»
Jaén sits in the north of Peru, in the department of Cajamarca.
Three times — 2006, 2014, 2018 — the club reached the national stage of the Copa and went home again.
In the 2023 final ADA Jaén beat FC San Marcos 3-1, Sebastián León scoring on 41 minutes and Cristian Pérez getting the goal that settled it.
The squad that carried it there was assembled from the regional leagues rather than raised at the club — the midfielder Erick Gonzáles arrived from Unión Santo Domingo — and the same pattern holds now, with signings drawn from other Segunda División sides and from below.
Home matches are played at the Estadio Víctor Montoya Segura, which holds 9,000.
