Deportivo Pasto Women

The badge on the front of Deportivo Pasto Femenino's shirt is the same one the men's team has worn for decades — the club has never bothered to design a separate crest for the women's side, and the nicknames travel with it too. Whoever runs out at Estadio Departamental Libertad wears the colours and the names of a club that already existed long before there was a women's team to carry them: La Fuerza Tricolor, Superdepor, and Los Volcánicos, all borrowed straight from the men's dressing room.

The women's team itself dates only to 12 October 2016, when it was set up as the female branch of Deportivo Pasto, and it plays in Colombia's Liga Profesional Femenina under Dimayor. The shirts follow the same split as the men's: red with blue trim at home, blue with red trim away, blue shorts and red shorts to match.

Estadio Departamental Libertad holds 20,655, a capacity built for a stadium that has hosted Colombian top-flight football for years, not for a women's fixture list still finding its crowd. Los Volcánicos have yet to add a national title to that inheritance — the trophies in the club's history all belong to the men's team that lent them its name and colours.

Without silverware of their own, what stands out for Pasto's women is geography as much as football: matches against Nariño's near neighbours carry the weight of regional pride that the men's fixtures have carried for years, the same local rivalries transplanted onto a much younger team.
