Medina United

Sellou Jallow spent 2025 on loan at Medina United before his move to Riga FC in Latvia.

The academy came first, formally, in 2019, though a team under the same name had already been playing in the Lamin Nawetan league for over a decade by then. In the 2025–26 season Medina United won the GFA League First Division, a debut top-flight campaign that ended with the title.

In the league, the fixture that matters most is against Bombada FC — not a local derby, since Lamin and Brikama sit in different regions, but a collision of ambitions that both sides and their supporters have taken to calling the most important match of the season whenever the title is still live.

Home games are played at the Sang Sanna Jatta Memorial Football Field in Lamin, blue and white in the stands as much as on the shirts, in the same town where, some twelve years before anyone wrote MUFA on a badge, a group of players first turned out under the Medina United name.
