Rio Branco de Ibitinga was the fixture that mattered most for decades. The club known through most of its history as Oeste Futebol Clube was founded on 25 January 1921 in Itápolis, in the interior of São Paulo state. Baruéri took the team in for 2017, and on 26 December 2025 it renamed itself Osasco Sporting, settling into the Estádio Municipal Prefeito José Liberatti, known locally as Rochdalão, which holds 17,430. Lower down the pyramid, Red Bull Brasil is the team that keeps turning up as a genuine test.

None of the club's silverware came from that top flight it chased for years — the closest it got to Série A1 in São Paulo was a semi-final in 2010. What it does have sits a level down: the 2012 Série C national title, a Copa Paulista won in 1981, and a run of state second- and third-tier championships through the 1990s and 2000s. It plays in red and black, rubro-negro, and answers to Rubrão.

The under-20 side has followed the first team through every one of those addresses, entering the Paulista Sub-20, the Copa Paulista Sub-20, the Copa do Brasil Sub-20 and the Copinha most years without ever lifting the state youth title. Group-stage exits marked 2022 and 2023; 2025 brought the best return yet, a run into the third phase. In 2024 a separate project, Ibrachina, began operating inside the club's structures and took over much of what had been Oeste's legal identity. What the academy has not produced, at least not in any record worth citing, is a graduate who went on to make a name in the professional game — the club has tended to go the other way, bringing in players who already had one.
