Two years matter more than the rest in this club's record book, and the under-20 side owns one of them outright. The first team won the Copa Paulista in 2003, and that same year the academy answered with a trophy of its own, the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior. The seniors followed a year later with the Copa do Brasil, in 2004. It remains the only honour on the list that belongs to the youth ranks rather than the first team.

Esporte Clube Santo André was founded on 18 September 1967, in the city of Santo André, São Paulo state — thirty-six years before that double. Blue and white have been its colours since 1975, and the under-20 side carries the same Andreense nickname as the seniors.

Home games are played at Estádio Bruno José Daniel; official counts give 15,157 seats, though older listings put the ground as high as 18,000. Beyond age-group football, the senior side has needed to win its way back through the Série A2, the second tier of the São Paulo state championship, five times — in 1975, 1981, 2008, 2016 and most recently 2019 — and added a second Copa Paulista in 2014.
